Agentic AI Is Unlocking The 10x Product Manager

Anthropic expects product teams to become 50% more productive as generative AI gains traction, which  means delivering twice the value in the same time.

At first, this felt overwhelming. But I've come to see agentic AI as an opportunity: more value to customers, faster, with greater ownership from each PM.

At Forethought, we apply AI to the core principles of product management. How do we build and deliver the most valuable products in the shortest time possible? Two ways:

  1. Decrease the time to validate value
  2. Shorten the design-development communication cycle

The result is a small team of PMs rapidly shipping and iterating across our entire product suite.

Validate a Hypothesis in a Week, Not a Quarter

Traditionally, getting hypotheses in front of customers is slow. You write requirements, coordinate with design for clickable prototypes, or pull in engineering for a demo. By the time you get feedback, a quarter has passed.

We recently explored adding A/B testing to Autoflows. When customers asked for it, we questioned whether they actually wanted A/B testing, or just wanted their AI agents to perform better.

We hypothesized that A/B testing was solving a symptom, not the real problem.

Using AI-generated prototypes, we reframed A/B testing as one piece of a larger Agent Lifecycle Management process. Customers didn't just want to run tests—they wanted statistically significant performance improvements, fast.

This insight let us pivot toward auto-generating agent variations and pre-testing them before any A/B test. Previously, validating that hypothesis would have taken weeks of coordination. Instead, we had a proof of concept in a day and customer feedback in a week.

Accelerate Releases Through Cross-Team Coordination

AI-generated prototypes don't just validate hypotheses—they communicate vision. Instead of asking engineers and designers to interpret written requirements, PMs can now show what they mean and then adjust in real time based on infrastructure constraints or design input.

We've seen communication and refinement time drop by over 40%. Recently, we leveraged Agentic AI to prototype and document the new Orchestrator product, allowing us to refine the vision with both designers and developers, which saved weeks of back-and-forth.

What the 10x PM Actually Looks Like

The PM role isn't shrinking—it's compounding. With agentic AI handling prototyping and cross-team translation, PMs can focus on what moves the needle: understanding customer problems, making sharper prioritization calls, and owning outcomes end-to-end.

The 10x PM isn't a myth. It's what happens when strong product instincts and principles meet tools that collapse the distance between idea and validation.

At Forethought, we're betting the PMs who embrace this shift won't just ship more. They'll ship better, faster, and with a clearer line to customer value.
